Home Theater

Buying and installing a home theatre system is a complex project that is best served by careful planning of both installation and choice of equipment, with an eye to how you will use it,  the type of room in which it will be installed, and your budget considerations.

Sounds by Dave has prepared a series of planning sheets that will help you to identify your needs, the possibilities for installation alternatives in your home, and the type of equipment that will give you audio and visual pleasure for years to come. Fill these out, then come on down to the store and talk to a Sounds by Dave expert who will help you choose the best TV and sound equipment for your individual needs based on your planning sheet information.

A true home theatre installation consists of:
*    A video display (TV, video monitor, or projector and screen).
*    A surround sound speaker system (see diagram below) consisting, at minimum, of a center channel
speaker, a left and right pair of main speakers, two surround speakers placed on the wall or ceiling near
where you sit, and a subwoofer for low-frequency music and movie sound effects.
*    An AV (audio/video) receiver, either 5.1 or 7.1 surround capable
*    A video/audio source (DVD, BluRay, CD, Cable or Satellite box)

By working with Sounds by Dave professionals, you will end up with a home theatre experience that will provide immense pleasure for you, your family and your friends for years to come.

Installation
Installation can be performed after a house is built, or in a sequential fashion as the house is being constructed.  For new construction, planning far ahead of the sheet rock installation is important, because we will want to prewire the house before the sheet rock is put up.  To do this, we need to know how extensive your sound and video system will be, and wire all the affected rooms appropriately.

Sounds by Dave has a crew of professional installers who will consult with you, and install wiring and equipment correctly….the first time.  And who can provide you with assistance and service years after your system is installed.

The same level of expertise is applied to sound systems for clubs, stadiums, restaurants and office buildings.  If you want it done right, consult an expert at Sounds by Dave.
